Rev. Kevin Van Brunt, President/Executive Director
Since 2005, Pastor Kevin Van Brunt has served as the President and Executive Director of Sentinel Ministries. He oversees the operation of Camp Sentinel in Center Tuftonboro, New Hampshire. In his previous experience, he served the Young Men's Christian Association in Goffstown, New Hampshire as the Associate Branch Executive, overseeing branch operations and coaching 8 full time and 150 + part time staff. He also served at Faith Baptist Church in Manchester, New Hampshire as Associate and Youth Pastor. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Recreation and Leisure studies with minors in Youth Ministry, Outdoor Education and Special Education from Gordon College. Kevin's vision for the camp and retreat ministry is to use the stillness of God's Creation as a vehicle to build relationships and change lives for Christ. He resides year round at Camp Sentinel with his wife Traci and children Tucker, Abigail and Owen. Rafe Longver, Operations Director
Rafe Longver serves as Operations Director, responsible for Sentinel’s buildings and grounds. Rafe holds his Associates Degree from Northern Maine Community College with a major in Diesel Hydraulic technology. Rafe is a member of The United Church of Penacook, who first sent him to Sentinel in 1995. Rafe enjoys the Camp Sentinel experience so much that he has continued to come to Sentinel every summer since 1995. In the summer of 2004, Rafe joined the staff team as a maintenance worker and assumed the role of Maintenance Director in 2006. The summer after he graduated College (2008), Rafe accepted a position with Milton Caterpillar as an Engine Service Technician. However, God had other plans as Rafe returned to camp as the Operations Director. Rafe sees his service at Sentinel as this "There is nothing I would rather do than to serve Camp Sentinel and its Ministry
Ben Stiles, Ministry Operations Director
Ben serves as the Ministry Operations Director. He is responsible for the development and management of the programs offered at Sentinel. Ben started as a camper in 2006 and joined the summer staff team in 2010. During his time at camp, he served as a counselor, lifeguard, and Associate Director. After studying Information Technology at NHTI of Concord, Ben decided that he was not ready to leave camp, he joined the full-time staff in Spring 2015. Originally, from Berlin NH, Ben loves the outdoors and helping others experience God’s creation.
