CAMPS AT  SENTINEL

Since 1949, Sentinel has provided a safe, fun, Christian summer camp experience. Daily activity options include swimming, boating, arts & crafts, teambuilding games, ropes course with zip line, rock wall, archery, hiking, large group team sports, and many other great adventures. Each evening the entire camp gathers for Vespers which is a time of worship, singing, and Bible study. On Friday evenings we gather at a special “red carpet celebration” banquet where campers dress up for a special dinner to celebrate the week.

First-Time Camper Mom

The first time I sent my son to camp, he was excited and I was nervous!  The staff at Sentinel was great at making me feel comfortable with my choice to send my son there.  I was able to send him email notes every day, and I even called and spoke to the director to see how he was doing.  Sentinel’s Facebook page was a great resource for me to see what was going on each day and I even had a chance to see pictures all the fun things they were doing.  My son learned so many things while at camp, including some basic skills and independence. He came home with stories and songs to share all the way home in the car, and we try to stay in contact with all of his new friends.  I feel great about sending my son back to Sentinel next year, and this time we are both excited and neither one of us is nervous!
